Tracking wind speed has never been easier or more affordable. Kestrels slim and user-friendly line of wind and weather meters allow you to track weather changes instantly. The Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter is so accurate and useful it allows you to monitor not only wind speed, but also average wind speed and maximum wind speed. To measure wind speed, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter relies on a precision ultra-light impeller, mounted in jewel bearings which yields high accuracy and a low startup speed. The Kestrel 1000 features a large liquid crystal display which is easy to read under almost any weather conditions. The display units on the wind meter can be changed at any time, with choices to suit a wide variety of applications such as knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour, etc. The Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter is made to be tough and yet is small enough to fit your pocket. Its special compact design is also water-proof and floats. The hard cover which is included easily slides on and off to help protect the LCD display from damage. Whether your hobbies include windsurfing, sailing, golfing or even just flying a kite with your children, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter is the perfect tool to make any outdoor activity as safe and productive as possible.

    Simple Operation
    Specifically designed to retrieve wind measurements, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter has been designed with a reflective LCD display, for clear and easy to read measurements under most conditions. With all its functions controlled with only 2 buttons, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter tracks wind speed, maximum wind speed and the average wind speed. Automatically turning itself off after 20 minutes, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter has been fitted with a feature that will extend the life of your battery.

    The Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter is fitted with a hard case that slides onto the unit to protect the impeller, LCD display. Constructed of reinforced plastic, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter is protected from rain, and will even float if you drop it in a body of water. Water resistant to 1 meter under water, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter is durable and well constructed for any weather condition.

    Handheld Precision
    A Weather Instrument that fits in the palm of your hand, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter can easily slide into your pocket when it is not in use. Portable, while providing accurate readings in a compact, user friendly design, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter weighs under 0.5 pounds. Providing you with updates every second, the Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter displays accurate reading within +/- 1 units or +/- 3%.

    Secured Impeller
    Shock-mounted in a glass-reinforced plastic housing, the impeller mechanism can be easily popped out and replaced if it becomes worn or damaged. With a 25 mm Kestrel 1000 Pocket Wind Meter retrieves and accurately displays wind measurements. It is important to keep the impeller well protected and away from harm to prevent receiving inaccurate data.
