This pocket-sized precision instrument allows you to monitor not only wind speed, average wind speed and maximum wind speed but also temperature and wind chill. The Kestrel 2000 Pocket Thermo Wind Meter is ready to go at any moment, wherever you are. As soon as you take the 2000 out of its protective casing and press the on button, you instantly get fast, accurate readings of the environmental conditions around you. Wind chill is calculated from wind and temperature data using the U.S. National Weather Services official tables and temperature and wind chill can be displayed in Fahrenheit or Centigrade. The measuring modes and display units on the Kestrel 2000 can be changed at any time and all functions are controlled with only two buttons with choices to suit a wide variety of applications such as knots, meters per second, kilometers per hour, etc. Its special compact design is also water-proof and floats. The hard cover which is included easily slides on and off to help protect the LCD display from damage. This model also comes with a convenient neck lanyard to keep those busy hands free. For an instrument so small that it fits in the palm of your hand, it is amazing how accurate the Kestrel 2000 is, sensitive enough to measure even the slightest breeze.
